I
have always had a great love of Nature and so have photographed
it more than anything else. As a teenager I would go
to parks and spend hours with my tripod photographing
plants, dew, cobwebs, (and dew on cobwebs), and other
very beautiful things including trees, in particular
close-up work of bark, in monochrome, foliage backlit
by the sun, springtime buds and bees, to name just a
few. Sometimes I would experiment, by stretching things
across the lens, i.e. a square of sheer nylon stocking,
held in place by an elastic band. This provided a soft
focus effect. Messing around with lenses and filters
provided additional effects, for example, a starburst
filter produced dazzling effects when photographing
raindrops. The local camera club gave me an opportunity
to experiment with different methods and test out other
cameras and formats.
Photography still is a wonderful hobby.

for your enjoyment and to provide you with an insight
into one of Haringey's most beautiful areas, and most
certainly Haringey's greenest housing estate.
