I have lived here for over twenty two years and I really couldn't imagine a more beautiful estate to live in, (especially in London). I’m fortunate to live overlooking the river, just feet away from the edge. There are some lovely bushes, flowers and conifers downstairs too, (next to the river). The majority of which were planted by an ex-resident, John. I can't remember his last name. It was such an unselfish thing he did, to create flower beds for future residents to enjoy, (although, especially so for those in Reedham). If, wherever you are, you happen to be reading this John, a BIG THANK YOU. I must say, I have a splendid view of all the water birds that pass by. At times I’ll be washing up and I’ll hear a really strange sound coming from the river, I’ll rush out onto the balcony to take a look, and then go downstairs with my binoculars for a closer look. As wierd as it might sound, I really can't rest until I’ve found out which bird it is. |

Walking along by the river one day I couldn't believe my eyes. There was a beautifully coloured Kingfisher. It was on the natural part of the river, not the man-made canal. I've never seen anything as spectacular. It wasn't eating fish or anything, just sitting there on a branch. I've been on the Estate for about 4 years. I'm truly blessed to be living so close to so much nature. |
